I had so much fun with Elizabeth and Stephen and their 6 month old puppy at McKinney Falls State Park. Enjoy the photos of this beautiful couple and read their love story below.
How and when did you two meet? How did you meet and when did you know he/she was “the one”?
Our paths first crossed the summer of 2014 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As any of our GE peers at the time could attest, it was love at first glance across the cubicle. Although it took us quite a while to muster up the courage to go on our first date, we still managed to pack our remaining summer together with country concerts, a lot of brunch, and a few bourbon cocktails.
Next came long distance. Elizabeth went back to Clemson to complete her master’s degree and Stephen moved to Austin, Texas for work. It was during the countless hours we spent on FaceTime that our love began to grow. We laughed together, cried together, prayed together, and celebrated together in 2015. We became best friends and were tired of living in different states. After more than a year apart, Elizabeth also made Austin her home.
Our love for each other has been there from those early moments in Milwaukee, but we discovered we had once in a lifetime companionship during the months and years that followed. We have loved exploring our new home town of Austin, TX, and our engagement photos capture us in one of our favorite parks. We couldn’t be happier with how well they turned out! We can’t wait to get married and we are so excited that Svetlana will be the one to document it!
Do you have a super romantic proposal story or engagement memory?
Stephen proposed in November of 2016 while we were in my hometown of Moss Point, MS. There is an elegant antebellum home in the neighborhood that I loved growing up and it happened to be for sale. Stephen schemed with my mother and the realtor for months to create the perfect surprise…including hidden photographer in the bushes.
What are your day jobs/hobbies?
Stephen works in medical device sales and is an avid runner. I work as a product development engineer for a small medical device company and enjoy yoga. I still take weekly flute lessons so I can continue to enjoy playing new music. We love exploring our new home in Austin with our Australian Shepard puppy, Bentley, trying new restaurants, and hiking.
